Nominations for the 2007 Oscars have been
announced and Michael has been nominated for "Achievement
in sound mixing" on Pixar's Ratatouille along with Randy
Thom and Doc Kane.
Michael earned his second Academy Award
in the category of Best Artistic Achievement in Sound Mixing for
his work on Peter Jackson's King Kong. He received previous Oscar
nominations in 2002 and 2003 for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship
of the Ring and The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and won
the Oscar in 2004 for Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.
